Operating principle
The VMP 3/8" pressure relief valve operates based on a spring-loaded conical poppet that keeps the hydraulic system closed under normal operating conditions. When the system pressure exceeds the preset limit, the hydraulic force overcomes the spring tension, causing the poppet to open. This allows excess oil to flow out through the tank port (T), effectively reducing the system pressure.
Once the pressure drops back below the set threshold, the spring pushes the poppet back into its seat, closing the valve and stopping the flow ensuring stable and safe operation of the hydraulic system.
