Operating principle
Inside the valve is a ball with an L-shaped bore, which redirects the oil flow based on its position. In the default position, the central inlet port (P) is connected to one outlet (A), while the other outlet (B) is closed. When the lever is rotated 90°, the internal flow path switches to connect P to B, closing off A.
This allows a single pressure source to alternate control between two separate hydraulic functions or actuators.
